Accessible AI: building neural networks in the classroom

May 14, 2018 @ 7:15 pm - 10:15 pm

Accessible AI: building neural networks in the classroom

With AI becoming ever more important in our lives young people need to be aware of how it works, how to apply it and what the issues are. Beverly Clarke , having recently presented it to the House of Lords, will be presenting her Scheme of Work for Year 9 pupils and leading the discussion about what should be included in future AI SOW and why.

Our meeting is at the innovation centre – please try to arrive shortly before 7:15pm to make door management easier!

Order of the evening

  • Chat, drinks & nibbles
  • Bleeding Edge News – summary of the month’s AI activity
  • Presentation and discussion
  • Tidy up!

After the meeting (around 9pm) we normally head to the Lighthouse pub to continue the discussion. That’s just across and down the road (towards the railway station) from the Innovation Centre
